September 22nd was the first day of Fall. I am so excited for a new season and to bring out my Autumn wardrobe. It's time for cardigans, scarves, boots, and layering! Right now we are transitioning to cooler weather, here's my first outfit for this season. Skirt: Banana Republic | Cardigan: Alloy Apparel | Purse: Anne Klein Earlier this week, the weather was almost 90 degrees, but finally today it started to feel like fall. Today's outfit is a black and white outfit; I paired my black leather skirt with my white chiffon top. I love pairing different textures together. I finished the look with my multi-patterned cardigan. I wore a dark red lipstick to add some color to the look. I'm looking forward to dark lips, nails, and outfits. Tips and Tricks for FallLayering As the weather transitions, it can be difficult to dress for the weather. I can be cold in the morning but hot in the afternoon. To be comfortable throughout the day I recommend layering. Wear short sleeves with a jacket or cardigan; when the temperature increases simply remove some layers and rock your outfit. Mix and Match Another way to accommodate to the changing weather is to mix and match. Pair your sweaters or long sleeves with a skirt or shorts for a cute and casual look. You can also match your summer dresses with a flow cardigan, and leggings when it gets colder. Bring Out the Fall Colors These colors are on trend for Fall 2017. Mix and match these colors together with your outfit for the perfect fall look. As I look at these colors I get so much inspiration. I would pair my light pink top with my dark navy blue pencil skirt and a beige cardigan. Or I would I love using a pop of red with the dark colors. Finally, just experiment and have fun! Mix and match, add colors and scarves, and create new looks. Hope you liked the post. Don't forget to visit my Q&A page and leave a question.

1 month ago today, I moved into college and started a new journey in my life. Oh how things have changed in this one month. I turned 18, became more independent, and have learned so much. Its only been one month so I can only imagine what I will experience in the the next four years. I'll be sharing some insights of the last month as well as some of my favorite outfits. SXM STRONGOne of the largest impacts in my life was Hurricane Irma hitting my home St. Maarten. I can't even describe my emotions, I am truly heartbroken. Dealing with this during my second week of college was very difficult. I felt so alone, so crushed, and so helpless. But in life, there are ups and downs. In difficult moments, we must rise to the occasion and learn from the experiences. The hashtag "SXM Strong" really resonated with me, I am so proud of my island and my people. This experience made us all stronger. I am working with three other amazing students to have a clothing and items drive at my college. We named ourselves "Terps for Saint Martin"....more information to come soon! I am so grateful for the people in my honors program who gave me to opportunity to organize this and for the support they have given me. PRE-MEDJeans and Blazer - T's Closet | Blouse - H&M The most excited thing about college for me is the fact that I am getting closer to my dream of becoming a doctor. There are so many resources at the University of Maryland for Pre-Med students and I have learned so much already! I attended a Pre-Med workshop, at this event I learned everything there is to know about getting into medical school. I need a 3.5 Science GPA, Clinical experience, a great MCAT score, community service, and research. The whole time I was sitting there, I was so excited about the whole process. I can't wait to get a clinical internship and to be volunteering. This really motivates me to keep working hard and studying, I know that I need the grades to get into my dream medical school in four years. STUDENT ORGANIZATIONSJumpsuit - Alloy Apparel Another exciting part of my first week of college has been joining clubs and getting to know new people. I joined the Caribbean Student Association and am a cabinet member. This is a club that already means a lot to me because I can express my Caribbean culture and feel less homesick for my island. As a cabinet member I will be helping the executive board plan events and fundraisers. ACADEMICSShirt and Skirt - H&M Another big part of my first month of college has been academics. Every course requires hours of work and studying. I actually have my first exams tomorrow for Math and French. There is definitely an ajustment that has to be made between studying in high school and studying in college. In high school, getting A's was pretty easy, but now I know that an A will take hours and hours of hard work and studying. My favorite study spot is Mckeldin Library, they have study cubicals and they have Starbucks! I can stay there for hours and get a lot of work done. Math has been my "struggle subject." When I say that I mean that I have to put in a lot of work to keep up with the material. I go to the extra study session and its been paying off, I got a 9.75/10 on my last quiz! GIRLS JUST WANNA HAVE FUNSkirt - Forever 21 | Choker - From my BFF Fleur | Purse -H&M | Top - Forever 21 Life is all about balance. Between all the work, activities, and organizations, you have to make time to let loose and have fun. My favorite city, Washington D.C, is only a short metro ride away. I loved getting all dressed up for a belated birthday dinner with my roommate. If you know me, you know that I love to get all dressed up and go out. I'll definitely be going out to the city more often. I also went to my first college football game! Its so great to be meeting new people, I hope I can make true friends that I will have for a lifetime. So far I am loving college life. I couldn't even imagine being back in high school. I am so excited to continue this journey!

I can't help but think about how much I've grown and how much more growth I will experience in the years to come. I'm excited for what 18 has in store for me. I hope to have more goals, more experiences, to be more giving, more humble, and to really learn about myself. Sept 16th - Birthday dinner with my boyfriend. Dress from Charlotte Rouse. I loved dinner date night with my boyfriend. Spending time with him is the best birthday present. I've been with him during my 16th, 17th, and now my 18th birthday. I hope that our relationship continues to grow. September 17th - Day in DC with my family Shirt - Pimkie | Jeans - T's Closet | Shoes - T's Closet I am so thankful for every year of life. This year marks the end of childhood and the start of adulthood. I am so grateful for the last 18 years of my life, I have learned so much, grown so much, and have been blessed with amazing people in my life. Spending time with my family made this day one to remember. My WishA few weeks before my birthday, Hurricane Irma hit my island Saint Martin. The devastation has been unimaginable and this has been a very difficult time for my family and I. For my birthday I am asking for donations to help rebuild St. Maarten. $1 , $5 , $10...whatever you can donate I encourage you to. Right now I am trying to do everything I can to help my country. Please consider donating to the following organizations: http://helpppl.org/ https://makestmaartengreatagain.com https://www.gofundme.com/fleming-lloyd-st-martin-relief A go fund me to help my get supplies to my family and my little cousins off the island and into safety. Thank you.
xoxo, Kye My first week of college was such an interesting experience. I learned so much and had to get adjusted to my new home so quickly. One of the things that I had to get adjusted to was my schedule. I made this color coded schedule to keep on track with my classes. I have Math MWF, French MWF, my honors seminar TuTh, my Psych ThF and my Gemstone class on Th. The strange thing about college is that you have so much time between classes but it goes so fast! You really have to plan out time for homework, walking to class, leisure, clubs, and eating! Monday - August 28th 2017Jeans - T's Closet | Purse - TJ Maxx/Anne Klein Today was my first day of college. I was so excited to get started. My first class was at 9 am so I was up at 7:30 to get ready. For my first day I wanted to give out a great first impression with my outfit. I styled my new favorite jeans with a white flowy top. I did a white on white look by adding my white blazer. My sandals are snake print with gold detailing and I added a brown belt to tie it all in. My day went so well, my lecture had about 200 students which is something I had to get adjusted too but I felt right at home in my french class which had only about 20 students. Overall it was a great start to my freshmen year! Tuesday - August 29th 2017Top - Target | Jeans - Old Navy | Shoes - Nike | Purse - Anne Klein Today was a super rainy day, which sucks when you have to walk from class to class. For today's outfit I put together a super chill outfit for the rainy weather. I wore my hair up in a bun and this brown oversized top that I wore off the shoulder with my comfy pair of jeans. I love my new pair of sneakers from Nike and I tied the look together with a black choker and my black purse. I only had one class today so lucky I wasn't out in the rain for too long! On this day I had my honors seminar where we discuss scientific topics such as global warming, DNA, and astronomy. Wednesday - August 30th 2017Top - Calmos Cafe | Jeans - Old Navy | Denim Jacket - Old Navy For today's look I wore my olive colored jeans that I am loving, the ripped detailing is my favorite. I paired these jeans with my C'est La Vie top from St. Maarten and finished the look by adding my denim top. I love how casual this outfit was while still making a statement when I walk in the room. Thursday - August 31st 2017Skirt - H&M | Top - Forever 21 | Today I wanted to be a little more dressed up, I wore my long black and white pencil skirt, I always get so many compliments on this skirt and the best part is that it is so comfortable. I paired it with a white top and my black sandals and black choker. I had three classes today, my gemstone class where we got to meet new people and learn out more about Gemstone(my four year research program). Next I went to my honors seminar and then my Psychology class. I am so excited to learn psychology and I love my professor! After class I went to the first Caribbean Student Association's meeting for this year. I am so excited to be apart of this club because my island and culture mean the world to me. It was amazing to be in a room of people who share my same culture. Friday, September 1st 2017Shorts - BCBG Generation | Top - Forever 21 | Cardigan - H&M | Shoes - Nike It's Friday! And it's also the beginning of my favorite month: September! My birthday is only 18 days away! Today I wore this super cute neutral colored outfit. My shorts are this cream color which match my shoes and my backpack. I paired it with a black top and my brown cardigan to keep my warm on this chilly day. I love this layered necklace that my friend Fleur got me! Today I had my first math quiz (already?!) and I felt that I did pretty well on it. The courses in college are definitely very very fast paced! I hope you enjoyed seeing this week's outfits and learning a bit of my experience during my first week of classes. I love using fashion as a way to express myself, it makes me feel so confident and gives me an extra boost when I'm headed to all my classes.
